He has significant strategy and product experience in vessel design and operations. As a previous client of Sanmar he is well aware of the challenges and requirements of each individual operator. During 2006/7 the Italian operator Rimorchiatori Laziali SpA, part of Cafimar Group, bought a pair of 32m escort ASD tugs from the specialist Turkish tug builder Sanmar. Some eight years later, the company acquired two more similar 80+ tonne bollard pull vessels from the same builder. Now....

The latest addition, named Pullman, is of a relatively new Robert Allan Ltd design commissioned exclusively by Sanmar. As standard the Sirapinar Series is fitted with a DMT forward winch, an aft capstan and a tow hook. The accommodation includes two single en suite cabins and two twin berth cabins.

Delicay II, now renamed Svitzer Vale, is to be introduced to the Port of London. Delicay III, to be called Svitzer Meridian will follow later in the summer to relieve Svitzer Vale which will then join the fleet in the company’s Scandinavian and German cluster and will be based in Bremerhaven.

The first VSP (Voith Schneider Propeller) tug, of the new VectRA 3000 series, named Arie A, constructed for Italian operator Tripmare Spa of Trieste has been joined in the Israeli Port of Ashdod by the second, named Ashdod.
